New Eyeballs

When one works at a daycare childcare facility there are several factors to consider in the area of health.

  1. The chances of getting sick (especially in the first year) are extremely high
  2. The ability to pay for doctor bills is quite low
  3. Exposure to many different diseases is high
I have had my share of sickness in the last two years.  There have been many colds and sinus infections, occasional stomach irritations... I got pink eye in May.  I was able to visit the campus doctor for very few dollars and got some meds. Hooray for paying for it through student fees.  One other thing.  I was wearing my last pair of contacts when I got it.  Yuck.  So this weekend I am planning on 'partying' with some friends at a lake.  The forecast is beautifully sunny.  I do not have prescription sunglasses.  Also I would like to tube and perhaps knee board.   Both would require extra effort to keep glasses on... Okay I wouldn't wear them, but then I wouldn't see where I was going!  So I made an emergency appointment.  Praise God that the 9:30 canceled and I was able to get in in 15 minutes! God takes care of us in so many ways.   So now I am trying out a new pair of contacts. I really like them. They help me see.  What wondrous sights to behold.  PRAISE GOD!

A fun little fact. I have large pupils.  My hometown doctor told me that, and I thought it interesting. Then this optometrist told me the same thing. So I didn't need drops to dilate them.  Hooray!

Other actions that I have taken to get ready for this weekend include trying to find a swimsuit. (Nearly impossible for me).  I have a great swimsuit, I just wish I could make myself look better in it.  I found a decent one at Target for a good price, but the cut was a little low and the top a little loose. A bad combination for tubing.  So the old one it is.  But I did find some jeans there for 4.98 a piece.

We get to see our niecer again this weekend. We feel so blessed.

This last weekend we got to go to the land of the married, and see my family. What a good time that was. I really like being able to go home and help my parents.  It makes me feel better for freeloading on them for 18 or so years.

Well fun and pictures to come of the fun weekend.  (Me without glasses!) Yea for new eyeballs!
