Rio, I want to go.

Last night was a big night. It was our BIL's b-DAY. We didn't get to celebrate with him, but it sure would have been nice.

It was also our dating anniversary yesterday. We have be officially together for 4 years and 1 day now. I am so blessed by Hubs. I hope that I can be as much of a blessing to him as he is to me if not more.

Dating
It is fun to think about where we were 4 years ago because we were at Bible Camp. It was my second year and his first. It was still the beginning of the summer so our teams were doing Vacation Bible Schools. We had been going on some walks and talked about how we were interested in one another a couple months before. (Where he said,"I'm not asking you out, But I want to get to know you better" ). At camp Hubs would ask me if I wanted to get up early and go for walks with him. The sun was up but other counselors weren't. We would walk up this dirt road with tire ruts and a grassy separation between the ruts. There was a tiny little cemetery near by that one could walk to and on the other side a field.

This one Sunday evening after supper Hubs asked me to go on a walk with him. I said yes and so we went to the high ropes course and sat on a picnic table. We got to talking and eventually he said, "I'm not asking you to marry me but will you go out with me?"

Oh that is so sweet right?

Well I was kind of a twerp and said,"Where?"

Hubs, "Dating land?"

So we have been enjoying dating land these last 4 years. Our first actual date wasn't until about a month later we went to dinner and a movie. It was a drive in restaurant. We got burgers. (Soon I would discover that Hubs got those quite a bit. :-)) We also went to Ratatouille. I am glad that it was a cute movie.

I didn't realize it last night or even until I was writing this, but we did the same thing last night. We went to Carinos and had AMAZING pasta. Followed by a mini turtle cheesecake that was equally AMAZING in the dessert category. After that we went to Rio.

Rio
It was a pretty cute movie too. We of course saw it in the cheap theater, but highly recommend it if it is still in a theater near you. Or at least to rent it when it comes out. I really enjoyed the soundtrack and the story. The last movie we went to was not as fun as this one so it also made it look a lot better.

So much of the movie is set in Rio around Carnival. It shows a lot of pretty scenery with beaches and ocean (animation is amazing these days) and it made me want to go.

Travel
When I was younger I mostly did not mind traveling. I had a lot of fun going to fun different places. I have really enjoyed all the traveling that I have done. Which is not much unless you count a lot of driving on roads to and from relatives homes.

When I think about all the really cool places out there to see and experience, I really want to go have fun. However fun ususally costs a lot more money than Hubs and I have. So Rio, who knows maybe we will go someday. Maybe we will at least get to an ocean someday. We are really hoping to hike down the Grand Canyon some summer soon.

Well I think that is it. :-) Have a great day!
