Its been a while. There have been things going on and things that have just taken up time that are not as interesting to talk about. Some of the interesting things? Well I would have to look at our pictures! Thankfully the pictures did jog my memory. We went to Fallapalooza in the Northern part of the state. It is a fall retreat with the organization CRU (Formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ). Hubs leads a Bible Study for CRU and We regularly attend the meetings. It was a fun refreshing time of fellowship.
The following weekend we got to spend time with Bible School friends. What a blast we had. It was just a relaxing kick back kind of weekend to spend with old friends. What a delight. Our friends' parents have a lake "cabin" in the state just south of us. They are generous enough to let us use it once a year for our get-together. So thankful for them.
Our niece was born on October 26. She is so precious and beautiful. Two weeks ago we got to go and see her. It was so much fun. I got to make Scheufneudle and oatmeal raisin cookies. (Shoof-noodle) It is a dish my grandma made for my mom growing up. It is easy and delicious. Just fry some bacon pieces or leftover ham with some onion, salt and pepper then sprinkle carrots (my addition) and then diced potatoes. Pour in 1/2 cup water then sprinkle thawed bread dough and bake at 350 for 1 hour with the lid on, then take lid off last 15 minutes. Bake it in a Pot of sorts. I like to put butter on my bread and potatoes, but they are good without too. :)
I just decided to make a couple different posts that were shorter. :) So that is most of October for us.
