Cajun Deliciousness

Yummy Yummy
The link to the title has a recipe that makes my tummy and mouth very happy.  It is Cajun Chicken Pasta.  Hubs and I are staying with my parents this weekend in the land of the married.  It has been nice. We have an annual salsa making fest and can it. I guess I am feeling extremely ambitious this weekend. I have helped make and can salsa, grilled pork chops... sort of, made and canned chokecherry syrup (with the help of my mother of course), made waffle cookies, and Cajun chicken pasta.   My mom was going to make chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Hubs and I had that not too long ago actually so I wanted to spice it up.  I found this recipe and it worked out perfectly.
Of course I can not leave a recipe alone and cook it the exact way it calls for. So I added extra cayenne pepper to the cooking chicken, because I had a feeling my Cajun seasoning wasn't as spicy as I would like or most of my family.  So if you want to make this dish (which I highly recommend),  add some extra cayenne pepper if you want it to have more bite.

Oh along with my productive modes with food, I have also done 3 basket-fulls of laundry.  Many thanks to Hubs for helping fold them.  He is so sweet and I appreciate him very much.

Today at church the pastor spoke about how we are under construction.  I thought it was a great analogy, because even though construction can be a pain, and more time consuming, the end result is a more perfect image of Christ.

Hope you have had a wonderful Labor Day weekend!  God bless you!
